So blogging I guess is easier than I thought! I wanted to share with all of you the pictures of last years Somali Ramadan Relief (2008). These young men did an amazing job, and definitely set the bar pretty high for us this year.

So, I’ve been in Toronto for a week now, working at our headquarters with our staff. Its been an experience. I havent been able to wake up as early as I want to, but Im definitely at the office for at least a good 8 hours a day. We’ve submitted our first pilot project proposal, and hope for a quick and positive response. The quicker we get the funding, the quicker we can help the people.
I’ve been reading up a lot on the situation on the ground, but from personal contacts, its bad, but not as bad as the newspapers make it seem…..(FYI: Im not talking about Mogadishu, cause im sure it is that bad…). So im optimistic on our travels to Somalia, and our project implementation.
Since im in Toronto full time now, minus a quick trip back to VA, you’ll be seeing more blogs, and pictures to come. I know I’ve promised a picture of the office, but soon enough, we’re still beautifying it
